Cold bending technology Cold forming machine computer simulation and finite element analysis is the hot spot of theoretical research, more papers and research results published at home and abroad. How to target the actual production problems, computer simulation, can solve specific problems, should become the goal of research and test the results of the basis.
1. Double bending simulation with zero inner radius
Cold forming machine, double folding is a common form. Double folding design, to solve the calculation of plate width and determine a reasonable molding process steps is the key issue. Using MSC Marc to do finite element simulation, the conclusions are as follows:
(1), through the equivalent strain analysis of the deformation zone, it is verified that during the deformation process, with the further bending of the sheet, its neutral layer deviates from the center layer and moves to the inside of the bend. The simulation gives the specific offset process and values.
(2), By comparing the cells before and after deformation, it is found that in the bending, the outer peripheral cell shrinks, the inner peripheral cell elongates, the plate thickness in the middle of the bending increases, and the material flow occurs.
(3), through the analysis of stress-strain, it is found that the deformation of the bending cross-section is closer to the characteristics of plane strain, thus determining that the plate bending can be simplified as a plane strain problem.
(4), through the analysis of the bending stress concentration, it is determined that there is a large tensile stress concentration in the periphery of the bending, a large compressive stress concentration inside the bending, and a large shear stress concentration in the bending region and non-bending region (or smaller bending region) in the transition zone.
