Electrolyzer: the main equipment for water electrolysis to produce hydrogen
The main host of the water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment is the electrolyzer. The electrolyzer electrolyzes water into hydrogen and oxygen under the action of direct current. Each electrolysis chamber of the electrolytic cell is divided into an anode chamber and a cathode chamber. In the electrolytic cell, the electrolyte is used, hydrogen is produced in the cathode chamber, and oxygen is produced in the anode chamber. Its main performance requirements include: high purity of hydrogen produced; low energy consumption; simple structure; convenient manufacturing and maintenance and long service life; and high material utilization. The main components and materials of electrolytic cells include electrodes, diaphragms, insulating materials and electrolyte.
