Roll making process
The geometric accuracy of the roll surface will be damaged due to high temperature oxidation and mechanical wear during the steel plate rolling process, and the roll surface needs to be periodically ground and repaired. In order to meet the technological requirements for shape control, the busbar of the roll surface needs to be processed into various special high-power curves according to different technological requirements. At the same time, the busbars of the work rolls and the backup rolls have to be coupled and matched with each other according to certain requirements, so the processing is difficult. The product is a metal cutting machine tool, which consists of bed, headstock, tailstock, bracket, vertical and horizontal carriages, grinding head, measuring frame and electrical numerical control system. It is divided into carrying system, driving system, grinding system, measuring system and control system. The system has five subsystems. The workpiece is supported by the headstock, tailstock and bracket, and is driven to rotate by the headstock. The numerical control system controls the machine tool to perform multi-axis compound motion according to the mathematical model of the busbar on the surface of the roll, and realizes the grinding of the metal on the roll surface by the grinding wheel during the movement. The online measurement system feeds back the measurement data to the grinding machine control system in real time, and the control system performs closed-loop control of the machine tool to complete the precision machining of the workpiece.
