The demonstration and application of hydrogen energy and technological innovation will be accelerated in the fields of energy, transportation and industry, which will help each industry to achieve accelerated decarbonization and transformation and upgrading through hydrogen energy.
From the supply point of view, China is already the world's largest hydrogen producer, with an annual production of about 33 million tons of hydrogen.
From the end consumption point of view, hydrogen in China is mainly used in industrial fields, such as petroleum refining, petrochemical product production, fertilizer manufacturing, new synthetic fuel industry, etc. The largest hydrogen consumption is synthetic ammonia, followed by synthetic methanol.
Recently, the world's largest green hydrogen coupled with coal chemical project, the scenery fusion green hydrogen demonstration project in Erdos, Inner Mongolia, started construction. The project will make use of the abundant solar and wind energy resources in Ordos area to generate electricity to produce green hydrogen directly. 30,000 tons of green hydrogen and 240,000 tons of green oxygen will be produced annually, which will strongly promote the development of green hydrogen industry chain and the transformation and upgrading of China's energy industry. In recent years, the exploration of hydrogen energy application scenarios in China has been deepening, and the development of hydrogen energy industry has gradually entered a benign channel.
