As the core equipment for electrolyzing water to produce hydrogen, electrolyzers have always attracted much attention due to the high popularity of the hydrogen energy industry. Data shows that domestic electrolyzer bidding in 2023 will be about 1.8GW, which will continue to double year-on-year. In the A-share field, many listed companies are deploying in the hydrogen energy industry chain, and related production capacity expansion is continuing.

As a green, low-carbon and widely used secondary energy, hydrogen energy is gradually becoming one of the important carriers of global energy transformation and development, and the development of the hydrogen energy industry is facing important opportunities.
It is reported that the hydrogen energy industry chain is mainly divided into hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and transportation, and hydrogen consumption. Among them, hydrogen production is the upstream link of the industry, and the electrolyzer is the core part of the water electrolysis hydrogen production system. At present, the mainstream electrolysis water hydrogen production technologies include alkaline water electrolysis (ALK), proton exchange membrane electrolysis (PEM), high-temperature solid oxide electrolysis (SOEC), and solid polymer anion exchange membrane electrolysis (AEM).
Data show that the global electrolyser market shipments will reach 1GW in 2022, of which China's total electrolyzer shipments will exceed 800MW, a year-on-year increase of more than 129%, accounting for more than 80% of the global market. In 2023, domestic electrolyzer bidding will be about 1.8GW, which will continue to double year-on-year.
A research report from Guojin Securities disclosed that a total of 19 green hydrogen projects for electrolyzers have been publicly tendered in 2023. Judging from the start of green hydrogen projects and EPC bidding in 2023, a total of 108,700 tons of green hydrogen projects have started, and nearly 314 sets of electrolyzers with 220,390 Nm3/h will be invited to bid one after another.
